Volunteers

We have many ministries here at Impact Christian Church. Below is a list of the ministries with a brief description of the roles and responsibilities for each ministry. There are many opportunities for you to serve at Impact. We do not require that you have experience in a certain area, only a desire and passion to serve.

Administration
Handle the administrative and business affairs of the church.

Advertising
Promote regular and special programs and services of the church through handbills, newspaper, radio, television, and other methods of advertising when feasible and desired.

Audio-Visual
Responsible for all sound systems (main auditorium, chapel, fellowship hall) which includes all maintenance, setup, and operation; provides special effects and lighting,

Audit
Audit General Fund, missions and other special accounts as required.

CD Ministry
Handles the production of tapes/CDs of sermons and special events. Provides tape/CD duplication as requested.

Children's Programs
Provides Bible training, discipleship, fellowship activities and dynamic worship experiences for children in 1st - 5th grades.

Computer
Provide maintenance and support of the network and computers at the church, maintenance of the Impact website, and provide training to staff members and community.

Discipling
The Discipling Ministry exists to provide direction for becoming a Christian / member of Impact Christian Church and for growing to maturity in Christ.

Drama
The Drama Ministry prepares dramatic programs, skits, etc. for worship services, special events and special presentations.

Early Childhood Ministry (ECM)
Provide faith-based, interactive education for Infants, Preschool, and Kindergarten.

Fellowship
Provides opportunity for members and non-members to spend time together through family and group activities and special events in order to build stronger relationships within the church.

Global Outreach (Missions)
Organize the financial giving and prayerfully assist missions and missionaries around the world.

Growth Group
Provides support to Growth Group leaders and sets the course for Growth Group lessons. Trains new leaders and generates ideas to grow the Growth Groups.

Guest Services
Greet newcomers at the door, provides information on the church, directs parents to children's church, and provides basic information so that newcomers can feel at home and quickly navigate themselves around the church.

Historian
Collects and preserves records of church events in all forms; then identifies and mounts pictures, items and other memorabilia in creative and attractive ways in scrapbooks.

KIDVenture
Design, organize, and implement community outreach events for children and families throughout the year, including our week long summer KIDventure.

Mile of Cans Food Drive
Annual Community Food Drive day held in October of each year at Impact Christian Church. We collect, count, sort and deliver the food items to the West Hills Food Pantry.

Music
Uses their musical talents in choir, ensembles, Praise Band, etc. to enhance the Sunday worship service and other special events. Check out our Music Ministry page to learn about joining the Praise Band!

Property
Arranges the repair of the building and the grounds and organizes imporvements as needed.

Prayer
Meets on a regular basis to develop prayer programs for the congregation. The function is to lift up to God specific needs of the congregation, special situations (church, community, world), missions, etc.

Seniors
This fellowship welcomes anyone 55+ years of age to meet once per month for a time of food, Bible Study, and fellowship.

Softball
We compete in the AACSL (Airport Area Christian Softball League). Our season begins in April and runs through July.

Students
The purpose of this ministry is to guide students in the 6th - 12th grade to a true understanding of Jesus Christ and to show them how they can be made complete in Him (Colossians 1:28).

Van
Schedule van usage and drivers, advise all passengers and drivers of all rules and regulations, and insure proper van care, maintenance, and PA inspection.

Worship Preparation
Organizes the morning worship service servers/ushers, communion preparation, baptism preparation and clean-up, and morning worship service greeters.
