Got Growth?
GOT GROWTH ? Are you part of a growth group? Or should I ask, “Are you serious about letting God change your life ...
Fellowship of Seniors welcomes anyone 55+ years of age, whether single, single again, married, or a grandparent. You do not have to be a member of Impact Christian Church to participate.
We meet at the church each Tuesday from 2 to 4 PM for Bible study and Growth Group. We gather on Sundays, once a month for a "pot luck" lunch at Impact Fellowship Hall. After lunch, we have a time of Bible study and fellowship, including several service projects each year. It is a great opportunity to get to know other "seniors" who worship at Impact.
Our service projects for others included collecting jars of peanut butter for Lifeline Christian Mission in Haiti. With the help of others at Impact, we packed and delivered 1,028 jars of peanut butter for shipment to Haiti.
We participated in the Mile of Cans at Impact, as the "Souper Seniors". We challenged other groups to collect more cans than us. This year our group collected 1,015 cans of food, mostly soup. Congratulations SOUPER SENIORS! The West Hills Food Pantry was the big winner!
Our Fellowship of Seniors are proud grandparents of a ten year old Haitian girl through the Lifeline Christian Mission. With our $30.00 each month, our grandchild receives food, clothing, medical care and schooling in her native Haiti.
In November our group made 35 fleece blankets for "Project Linus". These blankets are given to comfort children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. Our blankets were given to First Christian Church for Project Linus in Pittsburgh.
In August we travel to Camp Christian in the Laurel Mountains for a one-day Seniors Retreat.
